With the COVID-19 still out there and working sector back to their normal routines like braving Manila public transportation, it is now more hazardous and difficult to live in Metro Manila. That may be one of the main reasons why a lot of urban people are now considering moving to the areas in the so called NCR Bubble Plus, termed by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) in COVID-19 Community Quarantine restriction guidelines, namely Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Cavite.
I would like to tell about our story of moving from my home city and comfort area, Fairview, Quezon City, to Plaridel, Bulacan and how I and my husband loved it!
Though I grew up in Quezon City, Metro Manila, a highly urbanized area, I have always been used to living in a community where fresh air is abundant and pollution is hardly seen. Fast forward to August 2018 when the construction of MRT Line-7 along Commonwealth Avenue was initiated: that's when the community where I grew up in started feeling like an unhealthy urban area because the mighty 1,858 trees were cut down for the said project. Fortunately, that same year I met my better-half who was destined to bring me to a province in the north side of the NCR Bubble Plus - Plaridel, Bulacan.

Our first years living in Plaridel required not much adjustments except for the absence of noise and air pollution everywhere. Living in Bulacan nowadays is not like everyone's at home and sleeping when the clock hits 7pm! It's actually fun and healthy.
Living in Bulacan allows us to enjoy the urban lifestyle in a healthy environment. Oh my favorite, there is rarely heavy traffic here! That's why when I chance to drive in Metro Manila again, I turn impatient right away and always forget the speed limit; because here, driving faster than 60kph is easy and safe.
I don't miss out on the trends; be it in fashion, food or anything. They're here! Your favorite cake shop? Starbucks? Shopping malls?
Oh, I almost forgot! This may be one of the CONS when moving here: YOU WILL LOSE TRACK OF YOUR WEIGHT and DIET PLANS! WHY?? Buffet and Non-Buffet Restaurant owners in Plaridel are so evil, they let you eat-all-you-can for as low as ₱150 insanely or give you unlimited rice almost all the time! Just in our area, I can name Teodorico's Buffet, BUNJO Home-cooked Specials, Papa Francisco and other sizzling houses that offer unlimited food and rice! Well, in another perspective, this actually is a great advantage, don't you think?
